A warm welcome awaits the Skipper and Crew of any vessel that navigate across the channel to the Emerald Isles. Crossing the St Georges Channel from Neyland to Kilmore Quay will take around 12 Hours under sail with a favourable breeze.

From Kilmore Quay head along the south coast, to Dunmore East and pop into the Powers Pub on a Tuesday night for an open mic session with the local Irish Folk scene. Then onto Ballycotton where the Seafood & Shanty festival is held in June. Kinsale is the Gourmet Capital of Ireland & Cork has a bustling collection of cool coffee shops, vibrant art galleries, unusual museums and seriously good pubs.

Pop into Baltimore with the famous ‘fort of the jewels’ Dun na Sead, then past the Fastnet Rock heading to Roaring Water Bay. This mini archipelago has stunning, beautiful, wild scenery with an abundance of Islands, anchorages and watering holes.

Southern Ireland is truly one of the most beautiful and stunning cruising experiences of the World.

First Evening

Meet your skipper and fellow crew members at Neyland Marina. Over the crews first supper together in the Marina Bar your Skipper will explain the weather forecast and tidal conditions for the days ahead and discuss the Adventure Cruise itinerary. Before jumping into sleeping bags for a good nights rest, you may wish to explore the marina facilities.

First Day & onwards

Exact departure times from the Marina will vary according to weather and tidal conditions, but once under sail we will journey down to the mouth of the Cleddau Estuary and out into the Celtic Sea. Either a full days sailing or an exhilarating overnight passage will position us to explore the Southern Emerald Isle.

Kilmore Quay, our nearest landfall lies inside the Saltee Islands. Being on the south eastern corner of Ireland, we have often seen Pilot or Minky whales on their migratory route north. Thatched roof cottages are dotted throughout the village. A group of seals occupy the harbour, waiting to be fed by the fishermen. Further west is Cork, the home of Irish Yachting and Kinsale with its gastronomic delights. We also explore several delightful, quiet anchorages such as Ballycotton, Oyster Haven and Castletownsend, giving a varied and exciting experience to remember for years to come.

Please be aware that itineraries may be revised due to weather conditions at time of Adventure Cruise.
